Lavender photoshoot!

Business has been a bit quieter than usual lately due to the Covid-19 situation... So on Monday Simon and I set off with our good friend Alex to find a lavender field so I could practise my portrait photography! Our impromptu lavender photoshoot soon became the highlight of my week!

The two fields in Kent are not currently open to the public, so we travelled about an hour to the next nearest one in Surrey. We had an absolute whale of a time! Alex was a bit nervous to start off with, but she soon relaxed and got really into it!

I had so much fun - both shooting and editing these photos! I loved having free reign on the editing, and let my creative side get a little bit carried away!

Alex absolutely loved her lavender photoshoot! She left me a lovely little review:

"I've always felt very conscious on camera, especially when someone else had control of the situation, as I've always turned out looking very uncomfortable or unhappy.
This wasn't the case with her directing at all. I had clear direction, reassurance and was kept in the loop with her editing throughout.
Thank you so, so so much. I've genuinely never been happier with photos."

I'm thinking of offering Lavender field photoshoots next year for families/couples.. Who'd be interested? 🙋‍♀️🙋‍♂️
