5 reasons why I love Sitter Sessions as much as Newborn Sessions
Sitter sessions are most commonly taken when a baby has learnt to sit, but isn't yet walking - usually between the age of 6 - 9 months. Although I'm primarily a newborn photographer, I never turn down the chance to photograph older babies - it's a whole different experience and here are some of the reasons I love them!
Their personality is starting to shine through
Curious eyes, gorgeous smiles, chunky thighs and dimpled fists...Babies are so interactive at this age and I love capturing those adorable expressions that show off their personality!
Their cute little smiles are to die for!
Who can resist a smiling baby? Stone cold strangers on a bus are reduced to sentimental saps when a baby smiles at them. And don't get me started on a giggling baby!
They look right at you
Nothing, I repeat, NOTHING melts my heart more than a baby looking STRAIGHT at my camera. Those gorgeous eyes have the ability to look straight into my soul.
Adorable outfits
We all know the baby outfits we see in shops are CLEARLY marketed towards parents rather than the babies, but who can resist those adorable little shoes, or those gorgeous knitted cardigans?
Most of the time, I do like to keep it simple. Less is definitely more in some cases.
They sit still (sort of)
The perfect age for baby photographs is right BEFORE they learn to walk. Some genius babies have already learnt to crawl, but they can usually be caught before they wiggle away.

Time flies!
The only downside to sitter sessions is that they're over far too soon!
