Elli Cassidy Training
My newborn photography journey started back in March 2017 when I attended a training course at Fresh Studio Academy in Watford, London. The training was led by Elli Cassidy, one of the top newborn photographers in the UK.
It was a whirlwind of a day, our class of 6 learnt all about the studio set up, basic posing and lighting needed for a newborn photography shoot. By the end of the day, my mind was buzzing from all the information it had absorbed, and I was eager to try my hand at my own newborn sessions.
Over the next year, I spent time honing my skills and building up my business. By the end of the year I felt more confident with the direction my business was going, and I was ready to take the next step in my personal growth and development.
In early 2018, I bumped into Elli at a photography conference, and we got chatting. I told her how much I enjoyed her training at Fresh, and that I'd love the opportunity to further develop my skills with her. She suggested I take a look at the training section of her website, which offers a wider array of course options.
After some deliberation, I took the plunge and invested in a two-day 1:1 training course with her. I was a little apprehensive at first, the course was A LOT of money! I thought back to that day at Fresh and how much I learnt and how much I enjoyed myself, and it was an easy decision from there.
I saved up for the course, and BOY, was it worth it! I spent two whole days getting hands-on training with Elli, learning all her secrets: her posing and wrapping techniques, the best lighting set ups, her “baby whispers”, how she markets to local parents, and how she provides an out-of-this-world service to everyone who comes through her doors.
The two days positively flew by, and all too soon we were saying goodbye.
I learnt so much from Elli, and I simply CANNOT WAIT to put everything I learnt into practice.
I put together a short video documenting some of the best moments from our course, I hope you enjoy watching it as much as I enjoyed creating it!
